OTOL Big Apple RailFest 2007 turned out to be yet another exciting meeting of railfans in the New York City area.

A short activity on Friday evening was riding the Long Island Railroad's Lower Montauk Branch in Queens. We also took in the inner portion of the 7 subway line in Manhattan and Queens that we had not yet ridden as a group.

Saturday was our traditional subway excursion. While we had essentially completed as a group all of the elevated lines, there was still plenty of above-ground riding. We also visited lines such as the D line in the Bronx, the L line across 14th Street in Manhattan, the F line in Jamaica, Queens, and the R line in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

For our Sunday commuter rail trip, our rotation between Long Island Railroad, Metro North Railroad, and NJ TRANSIT came to Metro North this time around. We rode the entire Harlem Line up to Wassaic.

Our New York fests have always drawn the most people, and this one was no exception! We had a total of 16 people involved, and as many as 14 at any one time. Thanks to all for making this yet another fun and memorable fest!
